A hundred-year old restaurant in a typical village
Situated in the village of Versegères opposite the primary school, in the Valley of Bagnes in the canton of Valais, Switzerland, under a 5 minute drive from Le Châble, next to Champsec and 15 minutes from Verbier, the Petite Auberge restaurant, opened in 1911, offers cooking developed by its Moroccan chef, mixing flavours inspired by Mediterranean cooking and traditional Swiss and European dishes in a warm setting.
Most of our menu is also available for take-away.
Try our speciality unique to the whole region: the meat Marinated Fondue. Neither a Bourguignonne nor a Chinese fondue, the carefully cured morsels of beef together with spiced turkey are served in our homemade broth accompanied by our sauces. A real treat.
For a meal with a real difference, consider reserving a genuine Moroccan tajine cooked and served in the traditional style.
Also very popular are our home-made Italian pizzas to be eaten in or as take-away.
Our business consists of a cafe seating around 20 people, a dining-room for about 20 covers, and a small private room. Outside, there are 2 terraces and a garden.
Aside from our own few parking places, there is a car-park 50 metres away. The bus-stop (Versegères-Les Matteys) is next to the restaurant.
Pets are welcome in the restaurant, but dogs must be kept on a leash and not interfere with staff or inconvenience guests.
Our small reception room can accommodate up to 10 people and is available for birthdays, anniversaries, committee meetings, clubs, and other gatherings.
Our Bed and Breakfast offer includes 3 spacious double bedded rooms.
We are OPEN Weekdays from 9am. Saturday from 10am.
Sunday and Monday we are closed all day, though we will accept reservations for 10 people of more.
